Yep. Especially curious if he found any weed on the course...

I went to a buddies new neighborhood to play some tennis today. There were some HS kids hanging out by the playground swings. Hmmmm? As soon as the last one arrives, they walk into the woods where there’s some kind of trail. They apparently found some weed in the woods. I thought it was too strong now to throw out that kind of an unmistakable cloud! From such a distance!
I don't need Go to go anywhere to do bourbon.
But I am curious about how is day went. Hopefully he wore some X gear, and comported himself as a true Muskie.
It was pretty great. My gift shop bill made it into 4 figures. Looked for weeds and found none. Two pimento cheese sandwiches and more than two beers were consumed. I followed the JT/Mickelson group around for a good part of the day, but JT did not reciprocate my St. X love, so fuck him. We got kicked off the course because of approaching lightning and told there was zero chance play was going to resume...and then they changed their minds right before we walked out, so we got to see the last few groups with most of the patrons having already left. We grabbed a plum spot on 16 green and watched Tiger birdie 15 from afar before he parred 16. People are pretty goofy with their Tiger love. I mean, it is seriously over the top. But this was the first time I got to see Tiger up close and personal, so I can check that off the list.
The course is amazing, but I still think golf is best watched on TV. I can't really see the ball in flight, and it's hard to follow the tournament as a whole on the grounds without Internet access. It's checked off the bucket list, and I personally wouldn't plan a trip on my own to do it again. If someone else invites me, I'll go, but I dont have a burning desire to see the place again in person. TV will suit just fine.
Oh, and my legs are still covered in mud. Kind of a gross day in Augusta weather wise.
That sums up my feelings about it. I am REALLY happy that I got to do it once, but I’d only do it again if it fell in my lap and it was nice and easy with people I liked. Next week is the Hertitage in Hilton Head. I used to live on the 10th green of that course, but watched most of the tournament in the living room on TV. Golf is better on TV.
Looks like a tight finish. Molinari has ice in his veins however.
I’m glad to see them still playing....the weather is seriously nasty not too far west of there. Fast moving storm.
About to be an insane last 6 holes
179 yard 8 irons. 203 yard 7 irons. That’s just wrong.

I am typically not a golf fan, but Tiger can get casual fans like me excited. What an athlete/superstar.
Good for golf, but I personally don't like the idea of this guy passing Jack's record.
Fall from grace/health to back on top. Tiger’s story is one of the most iconic in the history of athletics.
Awesome story, all the feels seeing him hug his kid after they showed him hugging his Dad. Good for the game of golf, and was pretty crazy to see such a big fall from grace, and Tiger coming back to win another Masters.
The greatest comeback in the history of sports. From not being able to walk, to not knowing if he could play golf again, to not knowing if he could play competitive golf again, to contending, to winning another major.
He inspired me and many of my generation to play this insane game (love him and hate him for that :) ) but he inspired us again today and a newer generation that once again saw his greatness.
The greatest part was the stone cold killer during the round, and then the new lighthearted, emotional relatable tiger once the game was over.
I think he wins another one this year either at pebble or bethpage. If he stays healthy ( which who the heck knows), I think he beats it...realistically (again if he stays healthy), he probably has 6 or 7 years left of having enough length and skill to win. Let's go lower end and say 6....that's 24 chances....would you bet against him winning 4 of those? I sure as heck wouldn't.
I hope you are very young as this is a prime case of recency bias. A very nice story but the greatest comeback in the history of sports! It isn’t even in golf. You may wish to read about Ben Hogan.
Hope you're right.
I respect him for his accomplishments. It's touching to see him with his kids and mother. Today was a great achievement, and the steel in his eyes on the back nine and his play were something to witness.
BUT, forgiveness aside, in no way, shape or form should that guy pass Jack's record. If he does, so be it, but damn.
Not a Tiger fan, wasnt before his life went to shit (relatively speaking of course) or after. I do not cheer for him to win, and I honestly hope he doesnt win another let alone get the record.
But there is no denying golf is much more entertaining and interesting with Tiger in contention.
You would be wrong about that.
You need to look up Hogan's story and then decide. If you still feel the way you presently feel about it, then we'll respectfully disagree about it.
I'm focused on comparing them on a relevant basis: what they respectively came back from. This has nothing to do with Tiger's transgressions.

Ben Hogan was literally on his death bed. I’m a Tiger guy but to equate their physical injuries is factually wrong.
Plus everyone knows the greatest comeback in sports is the 2016 NBA finals. Boom!
Hogan had to deal with fractures of the pelvis, collarbone and ankle. No doubt he was in bad shape, but like most things I think his injuries and his condition were a bit embellished. Healing bones are one thing........... I give Tigers comeback from multiple knee surgeries and multiple serious back surgeries (fusing vertebrae in the lower back) the nod here. Add to that all of his personal transgressions and the media scrutiny that deservedly came with that. Hogan had everyone pulling for his recovery. Woods had a lot of people rooting AGAINST him. This whole thing has humanized Woods........which from my perspective is the coolest thing that's come from all of this.
Do you realize when you fractured your pelvis 80 years ago you cannot walk for weeks? Also he developed a blood clot in his IVC. That’s difficult to embellish. Tiger has received world class medical care... I can’t believe we are even having this discussion.
And again, I am on Team Tiger.
Do you golf? Do you know how difficult it is to swing the golf club with a bad back? Do you know what fusing lumbar vertebrae is? Nerve damage is permanent. You cant fix it. It doesn't heal like a bone fracture does. It never goes away. His "fusion" could be complicated and affect other areas of his back down the road. It never leaves your mind. Ever. Once a bone heals and you recover you are pretty much in the clear.
Hogans injuries all healed with rest and time. Yes, terrible injuries he suffered but he was back swinging a golf club and practicing and playing competitive golf less than 1 year after the accident. Tiger missed several years of play and had 4 separate surgeries on his lower back. FOUR. The last one was it. If his back didn't "fuse", he was DONE. Forever.
F&%$#K Tiger Woods.
-Disgraced the game by his abhorrent behavior.
-Cheated multiple times on his wife with reportedly at least 12 floozies.
-Lied about his activities.
-Got a DUI
-Is allegedly a horribly low tipper, if he tips at all.
Dude is a bad human being. Don't care a damn about his "redemption" story.
Jack is King and Sam Snead is the Crown Prince. Screw Tiger.
Meh. I spent approximately 12 hours on the grounds on Friday and saw maybe 3-4 Tiger Woods shots to "check the box". I didn't feel like it really enhanced the experience all that much. It's always good to add another popular name to the leaderboard, but for me personally the fact that it's Tiger Woods doesn't really add that much. If it had been Mickelson, for example, or Rory, playing Tiger's role, it would have been just as good for me.
Yeah to usual golf fans (those who are interested enough to travel to see it live) I would totally agree. I prefer Tiger to never be in contention.
To casual fans thought was more what I was referring to. I probably should have said it is good for the game of golf and the interest in golf. I am sure the ratings were much higher yesterday than if Tiger had missed the cut.
I grew up with Tiger and am the ultimate casual fan. So, yesterday was a lot of fun for me. But I can see how actual golf fans don't care too much about him or have reasons to strongly dislike him.
So I guess you're in favor now that Trump is giving this scumbag the Presidential Metal of Freedom?
QUOTE - The Medal of Freedom recognizes individuals who have made "an especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of the United States, world peace, cultural or other significant public or private endeavors," according to the executive order designating the award.
