Yeah, at this point I almost just want to get it, sit in my basement alone for two weeks and get it over with.

If this is as bad as what has been reported, I don't want infected people sent out in the public to do what they want. They still may decide to go to a store to get food, or they may decide to go to a father daughter dance. If this is as bad as the media is reporting, they should be kept at the hospital or a designated quarantine center.
The rat is the inconsitency here. Which way is it?
The other rat is the change in reporting. Did someone in the media decide "treated and released" was not sensationalistic enough? So it became "quarantined at home".
What you are suggesting be done, unfortunately, is logistically impossible. We don't have the capacity or ability to quarantine every risk or exposure or even positive test. We as a society need to be responsible and follow the instructions given to us by our healthcare providers/system. We have the most robust and scalable healthcare system in the world, but it would be overrun quickly if we tried to quarantine and hospitalize everyone. We need to buy time and let this burn out by limiting spread / exposure while we develop additional treatments or a vaccine.
First bold: that makes zero sense. A hospital is the worst place to be if you're sick?
Second bold: that is exactly what I'm saying. In this case "treated and released" is the same as "quarantined at home". The first media release said "treated and released", then it later became "quarantined at home".
Finally, you say it's complicated, then self-righteously say you have all the answers because you listen to "smart and qualified medical people". My sister, who is a smart and highly qualified nurse of 20+ years is the one who pointed out this inconsistency to me. In her smart and qualified medical opinion, the media is blowing this out of proportion.
How about some levity:
Q. Why are people buying up all the toilet paper if coronavirus doesn't cause diarrhea?
A. Becuase every time someone coughs, 10 people shit their pants.
Q. What do you call it when someone gets Coronavirus twice?
A. Dos Equis
I understand tick season is supposed to be terrible this year. Now we're going to have to worry about corona with lime (lyme) disease.
I'll see myself out.
I’m super confused why being treated and released to be quarantined at home is confusing or contradictory? You can’t keep every person who has this in a hospital. There will be millions who have this. You have to be purposely being obtuse.
What is your stance? This isn’t a big deal and the media is trying to make it one to get trump out of office? Is that the stance? What about Italy? They are part of the big conspiracy?
Is this real life?
DeWine tweeted this which makes perfect sense:
“You can't write laws to cover every situation. People need to take some responsibility, and we're seeing it happen. People are getting it.”
A quick question for the IT professionals here. Do we have the internet capacity to handle all these businesses and online classes about to take place?
Might be a stupid question, but keep in mind the source. Coming from a guy who only knows how to reset his modem/router when his internet slows or stops.
