The US hasn’t been a net exporter of crude since World War 2. It’s telling that Paul is arguing against something that would have been economically beneficial to the US, because…..Biden. Hilarious.

McCarthy is getting closer, finally. He'll lose the 13th ballot, but 15 of the group of opposition have moved his way. Needs two more, I believe. Perhaps the 14th time is the charm?

To be honest, once it got to 3 or 4 ballots, I hoped McCarthy would never end up as the Speaker, ultimately. He's too damaged by all of this. A compromise candidate woudl have been so much better. A coalition candidate with support from both parties would have been amazing. Alas, McCarthy it's eventually gonna be.

I'm not so sure, the 5 never kevin holdouts seems like they are not going to bend (they love hearing their name on TV too much)

If there had not been a shutdown of this pipeline by Biden, as well as a total discouragement of US energy production by slow walking oil leases and permits, we could have potentially avoided drawing on the reserve at all. Now we are going to buy oil from outside actors thereby enriching them.
