Yeah I mean there are “elective” cardiac surgeries that people really need done that aren’t happening right now too because they aren’t technically emergencies.

There is an internist here in cincy (sort of a boutique doc from what I understand, my mom saw her for a time) who is doing the anti-body testing. She was on anderson Cooper discussing it yesterday. She said only 19 of 500 people tested so far were positive for the anti-bodies. That’s not great. Small sample tho obviously.

Also we don’t know that someone who has the anti-bodies is immune and can’t get it again.

They should start by re-opening the golf courses. Close the Pro shop and move all the essentals out front. Get one of those Chinese spray guns and hose down all the pull and electric carts. One rider to each electric cart. Golfers should have no trouble with social distancing, especially with my slice.

It also highlights the inconsistencies in how cases and deaths are counted between geographies. The key take away, Sweden remains well within their medical capacity to treat the cases, and have had no deaths due to insufficient medical treatments.

This hasn’t been a joy ride for my orthopedic surgeon daughter.

I think it’s actually good if these people didn’t know because it shows there’s a huge segment of the population who didn’t know they had it, didn’t have any symptoms, and didn’t require medical care (what the Stanford study says).

Waiting inside hoping this all passes isn’t going to work.

Yes the key to this seems to be to get it over with as quick as possible. The more people exposed the quicker it goes away. Now we will probably see another wave later on because we went all communist on the American people and spread fear through the country. Also, we keep talking about how we need to keep our elderly people safe, and I am all for that, but You know who doesn’t wear masks and gloves in public? The older and the elderly people. At least I have not seen it.

DeWine is not getting my vote next time. Lead damnit. Open this thing back up May 1 and stage this thing appropriately. Stop running scared and DO YOUR JOB.

The more I read about this, the more pissed off I get about the response the country took. Never should have shut down an entire economy, and it's stupid we havent opened things up by now. I know hindsight is 20/20, but our government fucked up our economy for years due to basically what amounts to a flu mortality rate.
