They are seriously toting gallon jugs now? That is just stupid. I don't even think that is a recommended amount of water to drink in a day. At some point, aren't you just making your kidneys do more work than they have to?

I was in college during the initial bring-water-to-class boom. I thought it was stupid then, and it was just 20 oz bottles.

They even sell the desktop water cooler. It looks like those old fashined water bubblers, you know the ones were some poor schmuck has to quickly upend andmount a huge water barrel on top of a cooler before the water gets all over everything. (or so I imagine) - except these are sized to 64 oz. Remember Aunt Bee's advise to Andy "Drink 8 glasses of water!" 8x8 oz = 64 oz.

A gallon jug (if that's really what they are toting) - well through spending enough time in men's restrooms, I know a gallon = 3.8L. A Liter is give or take 33-34 oz. Let's just use 32 for sake of argument - A gallon would be double the old rue fo thumb.

But agree with the pet peeve of "When people are going out fo their way to make sure you know they are better-than-you or doing what they are supposed to, etc" That gets annoying.

I feel like I could add another 120 pages to this thread based solely on my experience here... oh well, just a year and a half of schooling to go, and, oh probably a half-century of work ahead of me! What could be better? :cool:

I call it the Kinkaid Vortex. Its a non fascinating world of desolation, despair, chaos, rage, and irrationality. People who type "pre-madonna." If you are going to use a term, at least know its origin and how to spell it.

Our jackass neighbors. He thinks he owns our neighborhood. He's a total a$$. He baits our dogs. Tries to scare Little LadyMuskie. He's old, and I look forward to the day his a-hole kids put him in a nursing home!

Maybe we could send DC Muskie over there and have him park in front with the trunk open.:eek:
