I absolutely hate it. I did it at my last job, and absolutely hated it, and I thought I had gotten away from it up until a month or so ago. I can't stand working from home...I get distracted way too easily, and I miss the social aspect of being in an office. I'm in outside sales, so not being able to meet with people face to face is driving me insane. I have the utmost respect for inside sales people, being chained to a desk is not for me.Quote:

Accepts what BS? What exactly do you think is going on? Why would they artificially inflate their fatality count? Unfortunately you can't begin to test everyone suspected of having the virus because we don't have enough tests, and they have been saying for a couple of weeks now that the death count is likely understated.Quote:

My understanding is this is what they did with H1N1 as well and how the estimate influenza deaths in general as well. Argue the validity doing it that way but from what I’ve read they do it that way for everything.Quote:

If you are really interested in the numbers surrounding the virus, I would suggest these two short articles.
They address the amount of deaths above a year to year statistical average, and how the current totals are compared to those numbers.

I wonder how those daily totals of normal death rates would compare in states like Ohio, Indiana and KY where we have only seen around 800 or so deaths combined since this thing started? This is a much bigger issue in New York than it is for about 98% of the rest of the country. I Still think it’s dumb that the country is shut down and will be for a long time to come. Even when it gets opened a little, it will still be shut down. Social distancing will continue and business will continue to suffer. The fall out from this will be much worse than the virus itself.Quote:

The only thing that should matter is to count consistently with other diseases. The weird part is the city making the decision on what to count. Shouldn't it be the CDC? or WHO? Or be based on some scientific standard? I have no clue what is the 'right' way, but I find it weird that city's health department is making that decision.Quote:
