There's no indication that any revenue stream (tickets/TV advertising/etc) will cover their expense.
They are in it for other reasons. Probably to burnish their image on the world stage; or to provide entertainment for their citizens (like a FI race or soccer).
They've got billions of dollars from the world for us to drive our cars. They are just playing with a fraction of it.

LIV is not a normal business model. 99.9% of companies actually want and need to make a profit. They have owners and investors that want and need to make a profit. LIV is just spending oil money and some these guys are taking advantage of it.

I'm much less of a golf fan overall with LIV/PGA issues, but I've enjoyed seeing Jason and following him around a handful of events. The best was back in 2019 and seeing him hit close to a tight back pin on 18 at the BMW in Medinah and make birdie - just enough to allow him to finish in the top 30 on the tour and secure an invite to the Masters the next year.
