I was downing those Mosaic's at Arnolds last Saturday. They had local's for $3.50 a pop. It lead to a very, very hazy Uber home.

Jackie O's Dark Apparition with Vanilla and Coffee has hit Dayton/Cincinnati. I picked a few up in Athens when it was released. I haven't tried it yet but have heard it's absolutely awesome.
I didn't even have to make that up, Paul. There really is a brewery in Dayton named Warped Wing.
One has to wonder if they also serve tainted sandwiches. :)
While I am watching Xavier implode again on TV, at least this BlackTart is nice. BlackTart being the Cincinnati Beer Week beer, a colab between 15 local breweries, Essentially a stout with cinnamon, lactose, and blackberries. Just a little tart as the name would suggest.
The Warped Wing beers last night were nice as well. Esther's Little Secret - a red ale with Ester Price caramels in it. Also their Siam, a saison with thai spices.
If you're looking for it, I found some Hopslam at DEP's in Ft. Thomas on Friday. They seemed to still have a decent supply. I grabbed a 6 pack, but I honestly don't know why. I don't think it's worth the $18.99 they are charging for it, but at the same time it's "hard-to-get", so I felt like I needed to buy it because I stumbled upon it.
I had one of the Hopslams the other night. That is a fantastic beer, just a little pricey.
Went to the Carillon Brewing Company over the weekend (its by UD, that should have been my sign) and it was terrible. I was intrigued because they do all of the brewing in a very old-fashioned style. They had 4 of there own brews on tap so I got a flight to try all 4 and had to fight to get to the finish. They had a spiced dunkel that tasted like black licorice, and spruce ale that tasted like rubbing alcohol, a porter that was very average, and a coriander ale was different so I guess had that going for it. You know its rough when a group of 6 go and nobody liked 2 of the 4 and only a couple liked the coriander that was it. I was surprised that 6 different palates mostly came to the same conclusion about their beers.
Have any of the other Dayton area people been to this place? I'm curious what other thoughts are.
Oh, and here is the website in case anybody is interested after this rave review of the place.
