Yeah, Breakfast Stout is the standard seasonal, while Kentucky and Canadian are variants of Breakfast Stout that are barrel aged. KBS is great, haven't had the chance to try CBS yet. Hopefully someday... (the standard breakfast stout is very enjoyable as well)

Reading the article in the Bourbon thread reminded me I wanted to ask you beer guys something.
(Disclaimer: haven't had beer in decades, since I discovered $.25 shots in the NCO club, $.10 in happy hour...never looked back)

Anyway, I'm at the grocery store last night and they have a cooler with 20 or 30 of what I assume are craft beers. There's a rack of empty six pack holders and the sign says "Make your own 6 pak, mix and match" or whatever for $9.99.

Seemed like a good way to sample 6 different beers, at what I assume (?) is a reasonable price. Is that true?

That's the way it works, yes. You find a store that is willing to let you do that, grab a carton and choose 4 or 6.

Given how long it has been since you tried beers, I might suggest finding a tasting, or a local brew pub that will let you do a "flight" of several small samples of beers.

I forget where you are located, but there are certainly some local craft breweries close. See if any of them have a tap room and go for some samples. You will also likely find a brewer that would love to talk to a guy that hasn't had a beer in decades.

A lot of years ago, I tried one. The carbonation or something got right to me. I mean...right now.
I can drink bourbon for many hours (and vodka), but beer, another story. If I was to try that rack shown in the photo...I'm history.

Meanwhile, here's the beer from our local brewery in Spartanburg. Ever try any of these?

Interesting, I was reading an article that made the same claim about champagne toasts, and how those tend to get to people, particularly non-drinkers surprsingly fast. The article went on to blame the CO2, and said thats why some people can withstand hard liquor for longer periods of time.

That said, the far rightbeer in that flight looks like lemonade in that photo to me, looks to me mostly ciders or light pilsners in that rack.

It's why almost all bar soda is flat. ...People drink more.

Also, I don't think I've actually seen a flight poured that way. I usually see them put the empty rack on the bar, get out the glasses, go over to the taps getting 1 or two at a time, not take the whole rack to the taps. Seems more efficient that way if you have the balance and coordination to do it.

That is not my picture. That's from google, and you're most likely right that is not how they actually pour them, but it makes for a good picture.

I actually saw it for the first time at 50W last Saturday, when I was on the Brew Bus and they had a designated flight. Definitely looked odd, although it was efficient.
