Tuesday November 11th is Veterans Day. Take the time to thank someone who answered the call of duty.
I believe XU2424 recently served. Timeless served in Vietnam, but has gone AWOL from the boards. Hopefully, he is still around under a new identity.
I offer my gratitude and best wishes to all who served.

I say a prayer each night for those who served in Nam, came home and were shamed. I add one for the young men and women killed and wounded mentally as well as physically in Iraq and Afghanistan and also for the lonely men and women who stand watch in foreign countries all over the world. :D
I have a couple friends and relatives serving right now, in addition to those who have served in the past. I am grateful for those who hear the call to serve.
My veterinarian is also a veteran. He gets to celebrate all of the Vet's days.
I'd like to add my name to the list of people expressing thanks to our veterans. I also pray for those on active duty that may come home alive and healthy and enjoy many Veterans Days yet to come.
I would like to send my thanks to Captain Matthew Mattingly (who was in ROTC a few years behind me at X) who died serving his country in Iraq. The Xavier ROTC department unvieled a memorial to him today.

The second Musketeer, Bob Rice, died in Vietnam. Bill Peters, the First Musketeer, served honorably in the Marines.
My family has given up two and pulled a purple heart out of six served. One of the last things my father did was to travel to the WWII Memorial on the Mall at the age of 90, where he noted his comfort at all of the other vets there.
A debt is owed that can never be fully repaid.
