I am neither an indigenous people nor close ancestors with anyone who was a slave. I may be blind to the negative connotations of a lot of things, but this seems like a reach to me.
I wonder if Robert Morris students are as embarrassed about the Colonial nickname as their GW counterparts.
I had some Confederate jasmine at a house years ago, and planted some at our last house. My landscape designer warned me (with a roll of the eyes) that we have to call it Carolina jasmine now. Whatever, it smells good!
There are *some* on here that are convinced that Colonials is racist.
Whatever. I always hated sitting on roll away bleachers in that 2 bit gym.
