What will the President do with less than 2 weeks to go?
I don't know about that middle option. It seems Trump's minions were planning to execute Pence if they could corral him yesterday.
I could see him pardoning himself just to see what would happen since it hasn't been adjudicated before
I think it would have been smart for the cabinet and Pence to tell Trump that he could resign and be pardoned by Pence or they would invoke the 25th. Probably would have been the best outcome (well for everyone but Pence who would be dead politically, but lets be honest, he is already).Quote:

I guess I'm really just confused about this whole concept of pardoning yourself - especially since he will be well out of office by the time any arrests or legal mobs come.
Maybe it's a bit like confession without the priest . He can confess all his crimes to himself and then pardon himself.
I understand pardoning his cronies that have been convicted - makes logical sense.
But pardoning his family members? For what?
"I absolve you from your sins" - and that works?
