Lindy's college basketball

I picked up the new Lindy’s college basketball issue and was happy to see Xavier’s Brad Redford on the cover. I know that they use different covers in different regions but I still think it is pretty cool that Redford made the cover. They also show the obligatory stats for Returning Leaders and Brad is shown with his .465 3 point % as the #1 returnee.

Also of interest for X fans is a piece under Scoping the Nation where they list top 10 programs and they have a separate listing for Non-BCS programs and we are listed at #3 after Memphis and Gonzaga ( I did not realize that the Zags had made the NCAA tourney every year over the last 10 with 4 sweet 16 finishes).

Vaughn's pic is bigger than B-Rad's pic. We kick their F-ing ass every year. I guess Lindy's didn't get the message.

Vaughn is a starter and a senior; Redford is neither (to date). Vaughn has been all-BE; Redford has not been all-A10. It's stupid to get bent out of shape over picture size.

However Vaughn has a career winning percentage of under .500 and has never won 20 games. Redford has a career winning percentage above .750 and has played in 3 NCAA Tournament games. It depends on how you look at it. I don't really think it is a big deal thogh because Xavier doesn't have a recognizable player yet and Vaughn has been UC's go-to player for 3 years now.

Easy to be the "go to" guy when the rest of your roster sucks.

And who cares who the individual player is? Think that most readers recognize Vaughn? Hell no. sucks got over when Xavier should have been higher featured. Period.

THAT sucks.

I'm not too worried about where Dayton is placed ahead of us, because the season will approach and BG will lose the ability to control his bowel movements.

My head scratching moment was when Northern Iowa is ranked that far ahead of us. They may be good and returning some players, but they are not better than Minnesota, Creighton, Siena, OK State, BYU, Clemson, and X
