Hey guys, I wasn't able to see or listen to the Fordham game today. I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight on how the game played out.
I am assuming we didn't play close to as well as we could have.

You didn't miss much. It was another boring game. We played a bit harder than in the Bonnies game, but not much. Fordham is horrible. We could have shown up w/ the two walkons, and a few student managers and we could have won.

The team played pretty good imo. Fordham was packed in defensively, and X was trying to get the ball inside some despite that, and it resulted in too many turnovers. At least that' my take without looking at the box score. BJ was on fire, again.

At least Sean wasn't blasting the team again postgame, although he did take a little extra time (not nearly as late as Wednesday, though) before checking in with Joe and Byron. B.J. Raymond also was on the postgame after Sean; he pretty much said that the team got a tongue lashing but didn't really do any suicides or similar defensive drills because of the quick turnaround between games.

After the non-conference schedule these guys played, its easy to understand why this team can almost sleep-walk through games against St. Bonaventure and Fordham.
Unfortunately, its human nature. Its hard for a player to be as intense in these games as they were against Tennessee, K-State, etc.
I'm not making excuses or saying this is a good thing...I'm hoping it doesnt come back to bite them in the arse at any point during the conference schedule.

I didn't see the game today, but we won by 18 and held Fordham to 50 points. Doesn't sound too bad for a poorly played game. As long as the defense came to life, I'm not too worried. I'll gladly take an 18-point win in a game when the team didn't bring its "A" game.

That's kind of how I feel about it, too. I think some have become a bit jaded by all of the huge wins recently.

For those that haven't seen the AP version of X's win: http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=280122752
"I told my dad I'm like a computer," Raymond said. "It doesn't matter where I shoot from, I'll make a [high] percentage of them."
I don't understand that analogy. But I understand 5-6 from behind the arc. Great game BJ.

He means that he's not a streaky shooter...he just steadily makes about 50% of his attempts.

I thought he was talking about how technical his shot is. I think I remember him discussing how often he'd shoot after games and how hard he has been working on his shot. I did like that he got interviewed after the game. I don't recall that ever happening after a non-tournament game. I don't know if Byron and Joe had time to kill on air, but it was good to hear.

I think he should have used the word "robot" in place of "computer". The dude is practically automatic from behind the arc w/ out a hand in his face.

BJ said that when he practices shooting he shoots until he makes 9 in a row before he moves on to another spot. He said he is to the point that he thinks he would always make at least 2 out of 5 and would never miss 5 in a row.

I'm outraged. I demand 30 point wins every game.
