During a press conference announcing his decision to return as head coach of the USA men’s basketball team for the 2016 Summer Olympics, Krzyzewski proclaimed the ACC to not only be a 10-bid (NCAA tournament) league, but also stated that “we’re going to be the best conference in the history of the game.”

On an even more general level, each sport also seems to have it's own personality.

It's not as popular as men's basketball or football, but I don't see how anyone could not love college baseball and college softball. I know people hate the school, but it's an example of how baseball teams are collections of individuals unlike any other....

According to a report from the Memphis Commercial-Appeal’s Kyle Veazey, the Tiger’s interim president Brad Martin is “very, very optimistic” that the city of Memphis will land the right to host the tournament at the FedEx Forum. But things haven’t been going all that well for Barnes of late. Last season, his Longhorns went 16-18 and lost in the CBI, extending their streak to five consecutive seasons without making it out of the first weekend of the NCAA tournament. That streak will likely continue into next season, as Jaylen Bond, Julien Lewis and Sheldon McClellan followed Myck Kabongo out the door.

Personally I think Rick Barnes personally killed any hopes his UT squad had against X during "the Run" with his ridiculous technical fouls. Oakland is probably better than Loyola, IL most of the time, who they lost to the MVC.

It's a good geographic fit for Oakland as well, but geography aside, I was beginning to think of the Summit League as being a better overall league than the Horizon League. North Dakota State, South Dakota State, Western Illinois, and Oakland (in most years) have turned into pretty decent programs.
