I hate this suggestion.

So I guess from you there's no "second"

I guarantee the switch would provide no compromise of invective.

Now, may I seriously introduce you to Charlotte?

Officially named the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, a push is currently underway to change the name to the University of Charlotte, citing recurring misrepresentations and confusion with the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. The athletics program officially dropped the "University of North Carolina at" portion of the name, and has been known simply as the "Charlotte 49ers" since 2001.

The schools athletic teams are called the 49ers. The school was formed in 1946 as a two-year institution, primarily for veterans returning from war. When the state began shutting down G.I. Bill institutions, Bonnie Cone (the founder of the University) and the rest of the students and staff fought to keep the university open, and the city took over and formed Charlotte College where our campus lies today, in 1949. While our name (obviously) has nothing to do with the California Gold Rush of 1849, the Niner mascot and the gold mining theme was inspired by the Carolina Gold Rush of 1838.

UNC Charlotte offers 90 baccalaureate programs, 62 Master's programs, and 18 doctorate programs.

Of our 23,000 students, 72% are white, 15% are black, 5% are asian (I'm not sure how many of them are Korean) and 4% are hispanic.

UNC Charlotte boasts multiple programs ranked in the top ten nationally:
Infrastructure and Environmental Systems - 4th
Special Education - 9th
IT - 10th
Architecture - 4th

Latest Campus Crazes:
Organizing a grassroots student movement which eventually lead to the decision to pursue football
Making fun of/ridiculing/booing students or visitors who wear clothing depicting the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill on campus

Quirkiest Custom:
Over the past two years, an anonymous artist has made chalk drawings of classic video game characters on sidewalks and buildings, the largest of which was a 30 foot Bowser on the patio leading to the Student Activity Center

The worst part is, I'll still be lining up at the door at noon.

It's a lot easier to justify it when I thought we could beat anybody.
