Looks like Bill Cunningham is in some hot water, link (http://deadspin.com/5132810/another-hapless-radio-pundit-has-his-don-imus-moment).

The most alarming part of that article for me, is that Oak Hills fleece he appears to be sporting in the photo.

No need to drag the Highlanders into this.

The question I have is: Is what he says true? If so, what is wrong with what he said? Or is children born to unmarried parents a subject that should not be discussed in public?

I have no idea.

And to compare this to Imus?? That's the part I can't square. So now, any time someone makes a remark about the unsavory behaviors or traits of college basketball players...I guess it's "racist"? Is that what Deadspin is implying.

I thought Deadspin might get better once Emo Boy left. Guess not.

Um, still trying to figure out what is Imus like. Only a racist would assume that Willy was talking about AA players. He made no reference to color, creed, etc. Again, the media making something out of nothing.

Just to refresh our collective memory, BC is the same SOB who said Sean Miller should be fired after a loss during his first year as head coach.
He is a rabble rouser and a disgrace to the broadcasting business. Now here's a guy who could justifyably be sued for damn near anything he says.:D

Why would they fire him for that? If they really try to make it an issue BC will milk it for all it is worth.

Cunningham is nappy headed.

People who don't like him will attempt to use this to burn him. Those who like him or don't care to be the PC police won't care. The truth hurts sometimes.

Talk show radio -- political, sports or otherwise -- has become increasingly more shock jock oriented over the years. As a host, you take increasingly shocking stances and spout increasingly shocking positions to maximize listeners.

And unfortunately, it works. It's the equivalent of Jerry Springer discovering that there was more money in having trashy people punch each other on camera than covering anything meaningful or insightful.

As with politics, we get the radio and TV we deserve.

Not that I think that Bill Cunningham is anything other than a blowhard idiot, but how is that quote racist in any way?
