I think St. Joe's was without their PG Carr. They came back very late in the second half to take the lead I believe, but Goldwire hit a three to put Charlotte back up, and they were able to close it out. The fact St. Joe's nearly won that game without Carr is kind of scary.

Some good and some bad for the conference tonight. The losses by both ranked teams will obviously hurt the leagues exposure (although Dayton will stay ranked for one more week). UMass added a marquee win to their tournament resume. The St Joe's lost hurt because I think they have a decent shot at an ALB if they make a lot of noise in the A-10. This is shaping up to be a very interesting season in the A10.

Joe's didn't have Carr, but Charlotte didn't have Jethro Tull coming off the bench. And that is a team that gets a ton of production from their bench. I'm not sure if Tull(Ian Anderson) will be available for Saturday's tilt with UMASS.

Too bad the Mighty Dukes lost on that shot in final seconds of the Rhode Island game. If they win that the Dukes and Charlotte would be tied for first.

This is going to be a brutal league season. 11-12 wins could get you an A-10 tournament bye.

That was a good turnaround game for UMass; they were, shall we say, -1 after their home loss to St. Joe's last week. Now they get Charlotte at home; there's a distinct chance that we will have no unbeaten teams in league play after 2 weeks.

That being said, Xavier's margin of error will shrink further if they come up empty at GW on Saturday. Don't get caught looking ahead to Dayton, because GW will certainly look to make a statement after their embarrassing finish in DC last year.

This is why I hate the A-10. Last night's loss. 14 people show up, our guys aren't ready, we lose to a team with an RPI of 72.

Then those said 14 people storm the court afterwards like they just beat UNC.

I am having some serious doubts about how many more games we'll win on the road in conference...maybe 2? 3? Our road schedule is BRUTAL!

Man, I'm seriously bummed about last night.

SJU & XU lose. So much for separation.
