While this looks to be a good game on paper, it really isn't. UMass has some bad losses on the road, and is coming off of a loss to Vandy last week. (the win vs Syracuse and the game against Vandy notwithstanding)

I see dayton winning by about 7. I still think dayton is overrated though.

I would agree, except that UD has decided to wear their silly pajama blue alternate jerseys for this game. A team looking as ridiculous as that simply cannot win. I'll take UMass in this one.

Great point xeus. ud will be embarassed in both their play against UMass and what they wear.

UMass has issues with the road and defense.

Xues you know you'll be bidding on those UD throwback when they go up for auction.

Go UD! Did I just say that?

I want Xavier to be the ones to give them their first loss. And an embarassing one at that.

I am rooting for UMass because a win could really help their tourney chances.

No really Muskie, that's about it from ATL. It did make me laugh though.

Wait. Did I read that right? The team that filmed an ad coming out of a hanger wearing Aviator sunglasses a la Top Gun is going to be embarrassed to wear baby blue? Somehow I don't think so.

I am starting to wonder if that ad might have been a stroke of genious. It was so embarrassing the team has to win or they'll never live it down. Kind of like the Bears Super Bowl Shuffle from way back when.

I haven't seen the ad... is it on youtube?

Hilarious! I just hope the UMass team is able to walk out of the arena safely however.

Well, which is worse? Losing badly to Temple by 19 (RPI 58 Wow, a lot higher than I thought), or dayton losing at home to Umass (RPI 33) by 11.

That is very much up to interpretation.

The score was a lot closer than that. UMass lit it up from 3 and we were terrible. We got up by 1 late in the 2nd UMass responded with a run and we didn't.

You might be right that the score was much closer than that. But in the boxscore it shows an 11 point loss at home.

The casual fan will see a home loss that ud should have won, just as they will see a road game X definitely should have won too.

UD's losses typically don't disappoint me.

Until tonite.

Throughout X's struggle, I consoled myself with the thought that X will regroup by beating a highly ranked UD team at home. damn it.

I consider Dayton's loss to be worse. Xavier played in the strange, crime ridden city of Philly. At least Dayton played at home.

Lasser. Being a mod, I am hamstrung. I want to say what I feel in my heart, but I can't. I just can't.

Thor, I didn't know mods were that restricted. If I were you, I'd create another username to really speak openly.

That win by UMass was great for the league.

yes, snipe. The Umass victory over Dayton definitely doesn't hurt the A 10 as much as Xavier's loss to Temple.

Ideally, Xavier, UD, Umass, and Rhode Island beating other conference foes is good for the A10.

Agree Lasser. Our loss was not good for the league in any way, shape or form. We packed ten pounds of suck in a five pound bag, and in the end it didn't benefit anyone. I would rather have lost to a team like Charlotte that could have used the win. Looks like we have a good chance of doing that anyway.

Geez, I can only lurk for a couple of posts before I need an account. What is this? Next you're going to tell me that Snipe drank all the Rum and there isn't any left.

Welcome BDance. We have plenty of rum to spare. Fine job by your minutemen up at the Arena. I was pulling for you all the way.
