Kansas State number 1 in the running so far. X has been recruiting him as long as anyone. Apparently this past year he has improved dramatically.

He's not coming to Xavier. There's a reason he was re-classified from the '08 class to the '09 class.

Would that be because he knew Xavier had used all their schollies for 2008? ;)

You never know until he signs that letter of intent..

I know you're joking, but we had to secure at least one PF in '08, and McLean committed before Dennis Harris or Latavious Williams or anyone else made a move. But at one point last year, I remember Williams being our top PF target.

In this case, we do. He lists K-State as his top choice, but there are still questions as to whether he can qualify academically, which is the reason he had to switch from '08 to '09.

This Scout article makes it sound like this kid is still wide open. Will attend Patterson in North Carolina.

This kid might play professional basketball instead of college ball because of academics. He has already reclassified once because of academics and word is he still has not had a qualifying score. I would not be surprised if he never play college ball. Xavier's interest is low at best.

Why are recruits still look at Kansas State as a legitimate program? Huggins is gone, and the only reason Beasley went there was because he could not jump ship to WVU and play his freshman year. Frank Martin is not a good coach, the school has no basketball history, and Manhattan is a miserable place. I do not see the appeal.

Donta Hill the assistant coach is from DC area and he has a lot of connections. If you look at most if not all of their recent verbals are from his former AAU guys.

Donta Hill is the main reason why Beasley signed with Kansas State instead of Charlotte. Hill and Beasley are very close and when Hill left Charlotte and went with Higgins to KState that made the Beasley/KState deal a lock.
