Man, that guy is a no-talent ass-clown.

What an idiot that guy is. I get the distinct impression that he knows next to nothing about basketball, outside of possibly the 4 number 1 seeds and the Pac 10. We are a team with over 30 wins this year, who beat the snot out of K-state. Beat IU by 15, when IU was playing well. Beat Georgia, who won the SEC tournament. The beat Purdue. Almost beat Tennessee. This guy is a joke.

Keep looking past us boys.

Wow. Hopefully everyone in tinseltown believes that crap. The Bruins will win because they are taller? Great analysis there, Coach Wooden. Glad to see the elitist SoCal attitude shine through their print media. What an asshat.

Chill. There were 3 articles in the LA Times today, 2 of which were highly complimentary of Xavier. Those who live in LA (or at least read the LA Times) know that TJ Simers is an instigator. His column is all about being an a-hole in one direction or another. He's a meaningless person with a meaningless column. Not worth worrying about.

That's what I was wondering, if he was some print version of a shock jock. It was too over the top to be 100% serious.

That's a perfect description. He's a print shock-jock. And not a particularly good (or knowledgeable) one. He rips on the Lakers non-stop. To pick on the Muskies he must think there's actually something there, and that someone will care. In a way, his column is a compliment to us...

Good thing UCLA didn't have to go up against UNC Asheville.

I understand pulling for the area team, but that guy was ridiculous. He acts like that UCLA team is the second coming of Christ. They are good but their other teams in the past were much better than this one, in my opinion (which is worth crap).

Ok, just so i'm clear on this. KLove is 6'10 right? That is so much taller than the 6'9 JLove, Duncan and the 6'8-9 Brown. I beleive we have a total size advantage and are MUCH more athletic inside. Thanks for the bulliten board material though.

Apparently he missed what we did to Beasley when we were playing K-State. Given that UCLA is a better overall team then K-State but Beasley is probably a better player then Love, imo.

I live out here in Cali and have been putting up with that crap all season long from UCLA and Stanford fans...for some reason they all think that since we lost to Arizona St big (without Duncan and an aweful shooting night) that we are the most over rated team in the tourney. Im so sick of hearin how X cant match up with Love and that the Muskies dont have a chance. News flash to the Pac-10...Xavier plays the toughest D you will see all season and if think WKU pressured the ball then the Bruins are in some serious trouble on Saturday. Its time to show FINALY show the "Big Boys" that "Lil Ole Xavier" has some of the biggest hearts out there!! GO X!!

Again, I reiterate, Simers is a hack. Nobody in LA takes him seriously, and the LA Times published 2 other articles ABOUT the Musketeers -- both pretty much glowing. Rather than concentrate on the negative, why don't we pay more attention to the positive?

If you want to see what kind of columnist Simers is, you can check out some of his other more recent columns here:
