My family likes to go out and try to find the best foods in Cincinnati. We started with wings. Oak and Knockback Nats were by far our favorite. Would love any other recommendations. Did have Northside Yacht Club and we thought they were clearly not as good.
Now, we are on burgers. Had Gordo’s, Arthur’s, Zips. And obviously the Big Dan. All are very good. Today, we decided to try Delwood. It was very good. But…$16 for an a la carte burger. It was small. Ordered it medium rare and it was medium well. Again…you could tell their produce is top notch. But, I don’t know. Think I can grill a burger as good or better (not breaking my arm patting myself on the back…but 30 years of trial and error…I can grill). So, the best burger I’ve had in the area is the Clyborne Burger at SW Clyborne. It’s bigger than Delwood and its $15 and comes with fries. Anyone tried it? Unanimous in my family for Clyborne.
Any recommendations for burgers in the area would be much appreciated.

Oh…and have had Terry’s…meh.
When I get back, which is rare since Covid, the one burger I have to have is Zip’s. It’s part burger and part atmosphere. I wish I had a place like that near me.

Try Billy Yanks in Hamilton and get the Original Billy burger. It’s one of the top five best burgers I’ve ever had anywhere.

Can't believe it's $16 for a lousy burger nowadays. If My son and his kids go out for a burger, it 's pushing a Franklin with Tax & tip (4 kids)

My wife was born in Hamilton and I used to give her grief about it. I have to admit the city has gone through a bit of a transformation over the last number of years. Lots of good restaurants. Got a couple of craft breweries. The Spooky Nook sports complex is drawing events from all over the country.

I concur on the wings with Nat's #1 in my opinion. Herb and Thelma's was voted the #1 burger in last years Cincinnati "burger challenge". My wife and I decided we needed to try it given we'd never been there before. Save yourself the drive.......wouldn't make our top 50! I'm a little surprised that Quatman's didn't make your list. Don't know where you live but if you're ever on the Eastside we've always enjoyed the burgers at ATP.

I used to love the burger at a place called Frenchie Fresh, but it closed, I believe, 2 locations in Cincinnati (Rookwood and Symmes Township area up North) - so I guess no one agreed with me.

Take my dad out to lunch and we try to hit a different mom and pop burger joint everyweek. This was our way of trying to help small businesses during covid.
Here are some good burger joints IMO
Arthurs
Gordo's
Nations
Tickle Pickle
Quatmans
Chandlers - Best Black & Blue burger IMO
Bru Burger
Herb & Thelma's in NKY - a little hyped IMO
Sammy's and Delwood are good but a bit more expensive
Well, now you’ve done it. I have until lunchtime tomorrow to decide where I’m going to get my next hamburger.

I live in Lebanon. Get quatman’s regularly. Awesome. But was looking elsewhere. Crazy thing we get Quatman’s for their chicken and ham salad. My daughter is 105 pounds soaking wet and can take down 2 lbs of Quatman’s chicken salad in 2 days.
Challenge. Get a Clyborne Burger. Tell me a better burger in the Cincinnati area

And if I disagree with you, I won’t call you names like Boner Champ. Let’s all eat some great food and have fun this summer.
BJ, Thelma and Louise…or whatever….that’s next. Except maybe the place in Hamilton

On a side note…looking for a weekend happy hour? Two Cities in Mason. Only 3-5. Bit legit. One guys opinion? Their New York is shit. Good Ingredients…but not New York style pizza. Not even close. Their Chicago style is legit though. I really like it. But I like $3 pints and mixed drinks even better.

Quatmans is pretty darn good especially for the price.

2 other east side places with sneaky good burgers
El Coyote
Grove Park Grill
Was mentioned above, but Anderson Township Pub (ATP) has a great burger menu. Love that place.
Sammy's in Blue Ash has great burgers, but they are mostly $20+

I can't get past the double Porkchop, double mashed potatoes to order anything else.

Agreed! I was a regular double pork chop order guy for decades, but tried their burger a couple of months ago. I had a friend suggest it, and was surprised how good it was. I don't recommend El Coyote for their Mexican food, it's their chops, ribs, and steaks that stand out on the menu (and the margarita's, obviously).
But the burger is highly underrated.

Don't sleep on the burger at The Mound Cafe on Montgomery Rd in Norwood. Similar in size, taste and price to Quatman's with a better bar atmosphere.
Quatman's is too sterile after the redo a few years back.
