Majerus picked up 2 more commitments to give SLU 7 new recruits next year.

Scout shows 6 recruits, but Ruben Cotto just committed and is the 7th. The word is that Cotto is better than a 1 star recruit, but has some academic issues that scared other teams away.

It will be an interesting future at SLU with all these new guys and a new arena.

I fear Majerus may just be fattening up these young recruits to eat them.

For those keeping score at home, SLU is officially 2 over the scholarship limit for next season. I assume RM will get around to actually not renewing those scholarships we talked about in a recent thread soon.

Cotto also hasn't taken the ACT yet.

"Cotto becomes St. Louis' seventh recruit from the class of 2008, a class that we believe is shaping up to be the best in the Atlantic Ten Conference."

Uh... perhaps this guy (http://ilprepbullseye.com/page19.html) hasn't seen X's recruiting class...

Yeah that guy seems to think that quantity is rated above quality, but a strong SLU is obviously better for the A-10. Lets just hope that Fatty Majerus can build the program without throwing any other players under the bus.

He's already facilitating his own departure. And it will have nothing to do with the running off of players. Half the faculty is unhappy with him over guess what? Yep, compensation. The archdiocese is still quietly--and sometimes not so quietly--trying to get rid of him. He is also recruiting a type of players similar to those brought into UC by the Coiffed One. And with Kevin :Lisch and Tommie Liddell graduating??? I imagine Majerus could be facing some early season losses that will not sit well.

Bringing in recruits with academic issues. Sounds like a good plan to me...
