Very favorable...not a complete stretch to make the finals. But we also could lose to DePaul.

I'm hoping that we just get really hot for these next few weeks and turn from a 30% three point shooting team to like a 40% three point shooting team. That would be nice. Here's to streaking guys, let's do this.

We need be above 70% from the charity stripe, too. Low 60s won't get it done.

Exciting finish here for Georgetown/St. Johns. Please dont go to OT, lets get X game started!

St. John's GTown game was, as referred to by one of my cohorts- a very good BAD game. GTown was incredible in their bad foul shooting, both teams shit bricks from 3 and both made boneheaded plays. Somehow GTown couldn't finish bunnies at the end.

It will sure add to the lunchtime game crowd at the Garden though.

Nova just putting it on SJU. Up 26 at the half.

Not to mention another Jenkins buzzer beater before the end of the half. He really likes March.

I just checked the score on espn. 52-26 at half. Wow. According to the box score Villanova has no fouls. St. John's did have some in the box score so it's not just that the early box score isn't keeping track. Is this accurate???

Nova's up 28 points on SJU. Nova's playing without Mikal Bridges too who is sick today.

They put a graphic up in the first half...Nova senior class has never lost back to back games in their careers. Unreal.

And why didn't Josh Hart and Kris Jenkins leave early last year? We always have to worry about guys leaving early for Europe...

Is that scoreboard as big as it looks? Or is that a illusion from where you are sitting/camera angle?

I thought it was a little unfair that St. Johns had to play a 7:00 game last night and then play an 11:30 a.m. game this morning.

St. John's could have 2 weeks to prepare and Nova could play SJU in the second game of a doubleheader and still win.

Can't say I was watching the whole 1st half since I'm at work. But would check In/Out and it's absurd they didn't have any fouls. There were at least 3 drives I saw in a short period from St John's guards that had contact with no whistle. And normally I'm fine with that. But I know damn well if that was Sean trying to protect the rim the same way, it's a foul every time

Agreed.

Though, nobody besides you and me (and some SJ fans) will give it a second thought since it's a blowout.

I agree with that as well, although I think SJU gave them somewhat of a game the last time they played (at SJU). I just think it's unfair to have a team play at night and then schedule them for another game the next morning. Couldn't they have just scheduled that game a little later in the day?

Villanova vs. Seton Hall - who you got?

Obviously, we would prefer to face the Pirates in the final. Barring that, the Wildcats sealing the overall #1 seed would be great for the conference.

I can't imagine anyone wants Villanova right now. That would be crazy talk. I will; however, take either because that means magic happened.

If you recall, it took them 13 years to win their first MCC tourney game.

Nova is up 15 with 12 minutes left against Creighton. Last night, they shot 65% from 3 and 78% from 3 in the 2nd half. Tonight against Nova, they're under 25%.

I feel like Creighton is going to have a similar first round experience to SHU last year with Foster starring in the Whitehead "shoot them out of the game" role.

I'd rather lost like we did against Creighton than suffer the same fate Creighton did. Without Watson and Sumner neither team had a chance against Villanova.

An extra quality win would have been handy. All personal feelings aside.

Nova would have beat us bad as well. I think we get a 10 seed. Dont think it was the worst thing for us to lose yesterday. Would have preferred a win but it was a very tolerable loss.

And, like so many other losses, not really embarrassing, just lost opportunities for great wins.

Yep. We literally have zero bad losses. Our worst loss was Colorado who is a top 100 team. Should have won that and could of/should have won several others that would have really helped but we have 4 really solid wins and no bad losses. As far as down seasons go this is one of the better ones.
