Is everyone waiting for the edit of "Musketeers" before replying?

Winner!
I actually think that's a pretty good year to have. Tu Holloway's signature should get any Xavier fan excited. Otherwise, anything David West '99-'03 is gold.

Hi,
I can’t help feeling that’s a bit recent for him and would prefer to get something that reminds him of the old days though. Can anyone recommend a good season from say 25 years ago that I can search for some memorabilia for? Or if anyone has any ideas for things to get from that era.
Thanks!
25 years is considered the "old days" now??
Anyway, I'll be nice and forgive the misspelling. You can probably find some things on eBay. Like old game programs, media guides and schedules. Things of that nature. If you are looking for anything from a specific year in the "old days" of 25 or so years ago, 1990 was the first Sweet 16 season. 1987 was the year X won it's first NCAA Tournament game. If he doesn't own it already, he'd probably like the Xavier Tales book.

Everything But The House (EBTH) recently had an auction of the memorabilia from the Cincinnati Gardens. I just checked, and it appears the auction has ended, otherwise, it would have been a perfect place to shop for old memorabilia. I would prefer something older than 2011 also, but that ball has some pretty great signatures. Dez Wells and Mark Lyons on the same team is fantastic.
If I find anything older I will let you know, good luck in your search.

If 25 years ago is old, I'm in deep kimchi.
Xavier Tales = good idea.

I wonder if someone could potentially reach out and find a way to get the Xavier Tales book signed by Coach Mack. THAT would be really cool. Perhaps even Byron, Joe, and Andy Mac.

Xavier Tales would probably be a great idea. I believe they have copies in the Bookstore or you can probably find a copy online.

Scare up some Bob Staak stuff from the Schmidt Fieldhouse Era.
Not enough love for the old coach who stared into the Burning Bush.

Agreed. He is the one who started it all. Then Wake Forest stole him away. I bet he still regrets that decision.

Didn't Steve and Barry's use to sell that jacket for $15 new?

Yes. Along with rough cotton shirts and Stephon Marbury shoes .

If the "modern era" starts around 1985 for the NCAA with the field expansion to 64, that coincides with Pete Gillen and the beginning of our rise.
Has anyone but Sister Rose been here for all of it? (not counting you old farts like me. I'm talking about at the school.)

Joe Sunderman and Andy Mac have been. Tom Eiser is probably the next closest. I think he came on board in 1986. Can't think of anyone else who has been around that long other than Sr. Rose.
