Yeah, the Pepper Hamilton report must be pretty damning.

And technically, Starr will still be around, just no longer president:

@MWatkinsTrib
BREAKING: Baylor announces President Starr will no longer be president. Transitioning to chancellor.

Not the full report, but basically a summary of it - http://www.baylor.edu/rtsv/doc.php/266596.pdf

Tennessee should be next. Baylor goes back to irrelevant. Not only their football program but this puts an enormous stain on the University. Disgusting.

That place needs some safe spaces...or at least a reflection session or two.

Baylor did the right thing by firing Art Briles, what type of human being covers up multiple alleged sexual assault cases. Scumbag in the absolute sense of the word, now to see what the NCAA will do to Baylor. Cue the mass exodus of recruits leaving and going other places, and probably like Penn State getting to transfer without penalty. Baylor falls back into mediocrity, losing so much potential money from being a play-off contender to a nobody. Stupid stupid move from Briles, but he was known to be a scumbag for some time, and him feeling invincible has finally caught up to him.

When the shit hits the fan at Baylor, it does so in a much more spectacular fashion than it does most places.

About ten years ago we had Dave Bliss covering up murders and tampering with the investigation. Now, they're having to deal with Art Briles.

Whoever it is that's doing the background checks at that place may need to be let go as well.

As disgusting as Dave Bliss was, there wasn't a coverup involving the coach, AD and university president in that instance.

That happened to SMU.

That happened to Penn State.

Now it's happened to Baylor.

At this point, could the Big 12 be asking if they can TRADE Baylor for a Houston or SMU?

Jim Grobe hired as interm coach at Baylor because well.. actually, I have zero idea why, anybody care to throw some ideas out there?

Grobe was fantastic at Wake and has an impeccable reputation. I'd assume that is why. Not a sexy hire by any means, but Sexy isn't exactly what Baylor is going for about now.

That's one reason - I suppose another reason is trying to find someone as far removed from Briles as possible.

He was hired at Wake because he resurrected a moribund program at Ohio University.

Guy can coach.

Okay, I thought it was that he was just a pretty stand-up guy, and Wake is a Baptist school as well. I wasn't sure how good his credentials were since the record doesn't necessarily indicate a home-run hire, you know?

What offense is Jim Grobe going to run that will keep up in the Big 12?

It depends, does he implement his system, try to beat the Big 12 with good D (fun fact, it probably won't work) and not a huge offense, or does he work with the pieces he has, and adapt an Air Raid out of it? Then again, WVU had to rely on the running game primarily last season, because Skylar Howard was so erratic, and it didn't turn out TOO terrible for them, lost against the big 4 of last season, and blew a lead against Kansas State.

So does Schiano get ruined now in light of the new stories emerging from State College? If nothing else, it's going to be an unwanted distraction for Urban Meyer.

He should have been ruined for numerous things before this. Schiano is the worst.
