Xavier Athletics Announces Tixers Partnership

Saw this a few different places yesterday and didn't see it posted here yet. Tixers, the local start-up electronic ticket exchange, has announced an official partnership with Xavier for the 2014-15 Men's Basketball season. Tixers was created by Xavier Alum Alex Burkhart (2011) and has already received numerous accolades from various outlets.

I know Alex personally and he is absolutely thrilled to have Xavier onboard as their first team partner. They are going to do as much as they can to help fill Cintas Center and make it the best possible home court advantage. I'm also hoping this will allow more and more fans and alums from outside the area to buy ticket packages and get to Cintas.

Saw that too, congrats to Tixers they have a great concept and I think it will go far. Any idea of they ever made it onto the show Shark Tank? I knew Burkhart casually while at XU and he was one of the funniest guys I've ever met. Would love to see him negotiating with Mark Cuban.

I believe that they made it to the second round of the pitches until they were asked to tryout again for next season's shows. I would've also loved to see Mark Cuban grill him about filling an arena. Dallas would be a great market for that with all they have going on with the Rangers, Cowboys, Stars, Mavs and nearby College Athletics
