A common theme being echoed among Big East coaches? Xavier could wind up being the league's second-best team behind Villanova. The Musketeers may have lost their top player from last season in Semaj Christon but they return the conference's best power forward/center combo in Jalen Reynolds and Matt Stainbrook while adding arguably the league's best freshman in 6-6 wing Trevon Blueitt. This an exceptionally deep team, with 13 players all capable of contributing.

Good to hear that other coaches are seeing the potential as well

Always good to see positive press about Musketeer basketball - but someone's impression about someone else's impression for them to be the second best team in a league garnering less and less respect, hardly seems like a ringing endorsement.
That being said, good press is better than bad press which is better than no press at all.
Thanks for the link.

Not to argue, but keep in mind that the first impressions are coming from Big East basketball coaches.
I find this comforting because with so many new players, I have no idea what this years team looks like on the court. (Kentucky must feel this way every year!) There's so much new talent and different skill sets, it's hard for me to imagine who steps up and contributes and what that looks like. I like hearing the coaches feel like it all comes together.
Buzz buzz buzz. Buzz, real or fake, can have some very real contributions to recruiting and team confidence.
