I hate the fact I'm going to miss the Italy/England match today.

Greece didn't look that great today. 3-0 justifies my in-depth analysis. Take that Alexi.

Bout to watch Luis Suarez and co.

That was a full on tackle in the box.

That guy could play for the Browns.

Nice goal by Costa Rica. Uruguay needs to win this match to have any chance of moving on.

And an even better goal celebration

This is simply stunning. Uruguay is done.

Why didn't they have Suarez in the lineup to start the match?

Why didn't they have Suarez in the lineup to start the match?

He's about a month out from surgery on his knee. But they have more than enough scoring punch to take it to Costa Rica.

Here we go. We are getting our asses kicked so let's take out some legs.

And the first red card issues. Well earned Peralta.

Uruguay just melted down in the last minute of extra time.

This Swiss Ecuador match could be very boring.

By the way, how shocking was Ivory Coast last night? That is a pretty old team.

Jesus they are doing the wave in the first 15 minutes of a World Cup match.

A Velencia with a nice goal. Terrible marking by the Swiss.

One helluva golden goal for the Swiss to end this one.

Lionel Messi's goal was amazing. The footwork alone to break free and score was poetry in motion.

Well...

Antonio Valencia should murder whoever didn't shoot after he made that run in stoppage time.

Old is right, a big chunk of their roster is over 30. Drogba is fun to watch, and can still ball with the best of them. I wasn't shocked they won their first game, but it will be interesting to see if they can keep winning with those old dudes on their team.

He was sharpening those HUGE teeth of his...hoping to bite his way through the rest of their pod.

What I found hilarious is that in the post-game/pre-game of the next, the theme seemed to be that Ivory Coast only started playing well when Drogba entered the match. Like he was some great unifying force (I think they scored twice within two minutes of him entering the match). I'm sure guys like Yaya Toure were just hanging out till St. Drogba descended from the mount. It's obvious ESPN has themes and can't get away from them.

They have some very good players, and they still have some speed. I think they are a good team just don't think they match up well with the top half of the teams in the World Cup.

ESPN always finds a need to cram story lines down our throat. It is down right nauseating at times.

They are an older team... so we'll see how they do longevity wise.
