Rick Broering and I will be recording the 50th (?) (!) episode of the D&V podcast, available at musketeerreport.com and at danaandvictorypodcast.podbean.com, tomorrow night. This is free to all.
We will be discussing a number of big topics, including Chris Mack's flirtation with Wake Forest, Semaj Christon's departure, and some recent recruiting developments.
Our guest will be Mario Mercurio, who in the past has shed light into Xavier's scheduling philosophy, Nike contract and uniform deals, and other infrastructure topics.
If you'd like to submit a question for us or Mario to discuss on the show, please post it in this thread. I can't promise we'll answer all of them but will choose a few to kick off the discussion.

When are we starting our home and home with Wichita State? I understand there is an alum in the area who will supply the coaches' beer after the game.

I second this question.

In the unlikely event Xavier actually plays a roadie at Wichita, I am absolutely hosting. I would expect about three of you to actually make it all the way out here, though.

We're centrally located just 200 miles from Kansas City and 175 miles from Oklahoma City. On the plus side, the speed limit is 75 mph.

This is where the Wright brothers come in to save the day.... or maybe several days.

Will the scheduling philosophy change any now we have a year of Big East play under our belt?
Does the Big East have a particular OOC scheduling strategy as a whole?
Any comments on Buzz's departure and subsequent statements regarding the conference and scheduling?
Why isn't that home and home with Wichita St not done yet?
Should the Redskins have to change their name?
We seem to have more local celebrities attending games (Reds payers in particular) is that a deliberate marketing strategy? Are they invited or do they come of their own accord?
When is the McRib coming back?

If I remember correctly, the contract with Nike is up (at least for the uniforms). Should we expect to see new uniforms this upcoming year?

That's actually a really good question.

I was wondering about that too. During the Big East Tourney they practiced at Jordan Brand facilities and were the first college team to ever do so. So I wonder if they are moving to Jordan next year (which is basically still Nike).

Just for the hell of it, because You are YOU, we will organize the next Xavier Hoops bus trip directly to your house, in fact there will be two busses.
We all expect free accommodations, free food and free beer, because of the 14,727 posts that all of us have had to endure over the years.
Prepare, for Thou Day of Reckoning is Upon Thou.

Where does Mario get all his fancy suits from? Does he have a personal tailor in town who is willing to offer a deal to loyal Xavier fans??

This is an absolutely terrifying prospect. Two buses full of Xavierhoops posters pulling up in front of your house. The stuff nightmares are made of.

This could result in a Change of Address Notice - and we would not be on the mailing list. I doubt we'd start a home and home with the University of Anchorage, but that might be a safe place to hide and only slightly more remote.
I did like the OOC scheduling question, but some guys I used to work with would be more interested in the return of the McRib.

Do we schedule a different SEC school every year as some sort of message to Kentucky?
What are the odds of playing former A10 rivals now that we've changed conferences?
How much respect does the Big East currently have among coaches and officials?
What are his thoughts of our TV exposure in year 1? Does he feel like ESPN has turned against us?
Which two teams would he add to the new Big East?

Interesting his neutral site schedule examples were NC State @ Cowboys Stadium and UConn @ Barclays. Wonder if he was hinting and X has a chance to play in one of those.

He rattled them off so quickly that they had to have been discussed at one point. I don't see either as being an ideal option. NC State in Dallas puts us far from students and recruits and UConn in Brooklyn is more of a semi-away than a true neutral.

The impression I got was that those games (plus two games vs poor competition at home) were options in place of going to Anaheim.

I would say those were examples of the final games you would have in one of those neutral site tourneys where you start off hosting Poopbutt Tech and Taintslap A & M, thus murdering your SOS.

I don't think Mario ever addressed the elephant in the room on the podcast.
