Creighton injuries against DePaul

Sorry if this has already been posted, but McDermott injured his shoulder last night and will have an MRI and Gibbs injured his knee and may be out for an extended period. Potentially serious stuff for one of the top teams in the Big East.

Gibbs is a hit, and McDermott not being 100% isn't exactly great for them either. I prefer playing a good team when they are at full strength, but no doubt that it helps Xavier's chances.

Hope Gibb's injury isn't season-ending. Tough way for a senior to go out.

Watched the game last night. I'd put Gibbs as doubtful and McDermott as probable for Sunday.

The way Gibbs screamed when he landed would indicate that he seriously injured his knee. However, the replay didn't look too gruesome, and early reports indicate that the injury isn't as bad as people expect. Regardless, I believe he's out vs. X.

McDermott was in noticeable pain, but battled through. I'd be shocked if he wasn't ready to go by Sunday. Might not be 100%, but he'll play.

I didn't see the MCDermott injury but he came back and played 15+ more minutes in the game so I assume he'll be fine unless he and his Coach/Dad feel it could lead to messing with his draft status.

But I did see Gibbs and he did not look in good shape, almost like he knew the injury was something that was gonna be bad. And from someone who I believe has had 2 seasons ruined by similar knee/leg injuries. Pretty tough to watch and definitely difficult for Creighton as a team.
