Does this make Will Smith the King of Bel-Air now?

(CNN) -- Actor James Avery, who played the beloved Uncle Phil on the hit 1990s sitcom "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," has died, his publicist said Wednesday. He was 68.

I think that passed over to Carlton, sadly.

Avery was also well-known as the voice of Shredder on the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon that aired during the late 80s/early 90s. RIP Uncle Phil and Tin Grin.

Uncle Phil was the unsung hero of that show. He really was what made that show. Gone to soon. RIP James Avery.
