The Xavier University women’s soccer team lost a tough 1-0 decision this afternoon to DePaul on Senior Day at the Xavier Soccer Complex despite controlling the action almost the entire afternoon.
“That was a tough way to lose, missing a penalty kick and giving up an own goal, after playing such good soccer,” said head coach Woody Sherwood (http://www.goxavier.com/sports/w-soccer/mtt/woody_sherwood_540425.html). “To outplay a very good DePaul team who is third in the BIG EAST was tremendous. We just left too many goals on the field today and were punished for not putting the game away in the first half like we could have.”
