Ono is on a roll. It's damn smart, putting a satellite campus that close to Newport Beach, CA.

Might be back on track, beating UC Irvine (who just beat #16 Louisville) and Kentucky last week. They play Cedarville on Tuesday. I actually play on an amateur team with one of Cedarville's coaches. He said they sent out an email in the spring saying they needed a game. Xavier was the first to respond. I would speculate that the Big East had fewer conference games than the A-10, so Xavier needed a game as well.

The Crosstown Classico is on Wednesday! Can't attend due to a big test, but I'm excited to see how they do, up and down season, they really need some goal scorers, especially after drawing with Missouri State last night.

Riding a five-match unbeaten streak, in which they’ve surrendered just two goals, the Xavier men’s soccer team will host the Golden Eagles of Marquette in the first BIG EAST contest in program history on ‘Pots and Pans’ Night. The match is slated to start at 7 p.m. on Saturday night

OT win at St. Johns yesterday. The boys are playing some seriously good soccer after a bit of a rough start.

Video from the St. Johns website. Cool stuff. What a run by Matt Walker to set up the first goal.

If I read the stats correctly, the Muskie soccer team will probably come in second in the BE if they win their last game.
Meanwhile, we can start setting up Marquette as our new conference rival, as they will win the BE soccer crown...their last game is against DePaul who hasn't yet had a conference win.

Congrats in advance to a great showing in BE soccer by the Muskies!

It's been a great first season in the Big East for the program. Exciting times are ahead.

Unbelievable first season in the league. I suppose there's no harm in cheering for DePaul. Hopefully our boys beat Butler. It looks like X will host a postseason match for the first time ever.

If I understood twitter a night ago, it's possible X could still win the Big East correct?

That's my understanding. Xavier is 6-2, while Marquette is 6-1-1. If Xavier wins, that makes us 7-2 (21 points). A Marquette tie or loss would give them 20 or 18 points.

Looks like DePaul is pretty bad, though they managed to beat UIC who has 14 wins this season. They also have a draw against St. John's as does Marquette.
