Have a great celebration tomorrow gentlemen.

It's been a pleasure.

I guess with the closing of the A-10 area here, it's time I quit bugging y'all.

You've been a great contributor, man, and as a St. Louis native, I wouldn't mind seeing SLU in the Big East in the near future.

No, please stick around. We need reports of how much the rest of the A-10 hates udump- that is until St. Louis gets in the Big East also.

You would think with all the time (and $ for the new conference) that ESPN would have updated conference listings ready for today.
But...nope. Still showing 6 teams in football Big East. Did move Pitt and Syracuse to ACC.

But no AaaaaaaaaC conference in sight.

Happy Athletic New Year Everybody!!!!

We are now officially in the Big East.

Here's Pat Forde's analysis of all the conference moves:

AAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCC: "Huge Loser"

Big East: "Solid Winner" (although he goes into a rant about how the league was behind on organization -disregarding the fact that fall schedules had already been made, a TV contract in hand and a Commissioner hired. He put the hiring of Val Ackerman in the "wait and see" category)

For those of us with (too) many years following the progression of our school, the slide show at the bottom of the link I posted above is a wonderful trip down the memory hole of all the people whose vision and accomplishments brought us to this day.

Happy Xavier University Day!

July is a great month - my birthday month, my anniversary month, and now the month Xavier becomes a member of the Big East!

Go Muskies!

According to that clip, our only sports are apparently men's and women's basketball, men's soccer, and swimming. Interesting.

I noticed that as well. I'm happy X is really promoting the soccer team as a side note. Something good is brewing there.

Great, great day for Xavier. X took a giant step towards its transition into a major power in college basketball. Congratulations! I am so proud to be a part of this.

This may be your calmest Xavier basketball season ever. No game anywhere with the dump.
