The NCAA releases their annual academic progress ratings (APR) on Tuesday afternoon, with certain schools learning their fate for the upcoming season. (http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/52170856/)
UConn, who were left out of the 2012-13 NCAA Tournament as a result of poor APR scores, has showed enough improvement to be allowed to participate in the postseason for the 2013-14 season.

Kevin Ollie showed that he can handle the job that the fanbase wanted him to get, succeeding Jim Calhoun and maintaining a high level of play and improving the academics of the program.

Well, not really.

Well, not really.

Correct. Actually, to be entirely correct, the statement should be "well, not at all."

the APR numbers reflect the 2011-2012 academic year. Jim Calhoun was still the coach. I think Kevin Ollie did do a great job, but nothing he did had anything to do with the APR numbers that were just released.

Xavier had 11 programs with perfect APR scores.

Great!!!

Now if they could just figure out how to monitor initial eligibility, they'd be perfect.
