Rhode Island just tossed dirt on their grave losing tonight to GW, 85-68. Not to mention gave GW hope for Saturday. A10 looking at 3 in the tourney if St. Joe & UMass can hold up their ends (not including St. Joe's vs. X). I hope they do. It would be a shame to see the A10 drop to a 1 or 2 bid league after such a strong start.

Don't forget the most important aspect of the GW win: Dayton is now tied for 12th/13th in the A-10, and GW has the tiebreaker.

I t seems that RI is now out with virtually no chance to get an at large. My guess is that their RPI is now in the mid 60's. I think they've lost 4 straight. The A-10 looks like a 3 bid league, at best. And St. Joe and Umass have some work to do to get in.

If the main topic is an A-10 team other than X, it should probably be started in that subforum.
Sorry to interrupt.

Fordham just dropped into that tie by losing to LaSalle tonight. Dayton is at Fordham on Saturday to decide that tiebreaker. I'm amazed at how far they have dropped since that #14 ranking. Wow.

To paraphrase Andy Mac, UD was 14th in the country but 13th in the A-10!!!!!!!

Yep they're at 64 right now, after that loss. I agree that it will be 3 at best, and that may be on the high side. St. Joe's will probably win their next two, and maybe their next four. I think they'll win at least 3 of their remaining 4 and be in a pretty good position. They'd be 20-9 and a clear 2nd best in the A10 (if they go 3-1 down the stretch). But who the hell knows? They might lose 3 of 4. It is still possible for Xavier to be the only A10 team in the NCAA tournament. How crazy would that be?
