Does anyone know of a bar in Cincinnati that I can get my little band The Smug Saints play at sometime preferably in February? It'd be great if someone could even just give me suggestions of places I could contact, but it'd be even awesomer if you knew someone who had a place that would have us.

We'd have a pretty good crowd and would negotiate a reasonable price, have our own gear, sound, etc. We play a lot of originals and some fun covers. We'd play around 3 hours with a 10-15 minute break. Would love any help at all!

Here is an original that we made a few weeks ago. Stuff sounds like this genre: http://soundcloud.com/band-1-3/pat-mulloy-wrecking-ball
Thanks,

Olde Fort Thomas Pub would be a good place to start. You get paid whatever you make at the door, though.
MVP in Silverton (formerly another sports bar....is where Never of Sundays used to be) is also looking to hire bands.
Shimmers in Fort Wright is another place, but the atmosphere for a band isn't that great.
Silverton Cafe is a great place, but Jeff is very difficult to convince to let your band play, especially because my parents old band (who got very big around the area), The Rusty Griswolds, along with some other bigger local bands, have played there and he expects enormous crowds to follow the band.
Hope this helps!

I recommend Stanley's Pub on Columbia. It's a cool bar and has good folk, bluegrass, jam, raggae, and rock music. Ask for Steve. PM me for anything you need.

The new Whisky Bar just opened on Pete Rose Way next to One Lytle Place (the old Game Day location). I don't know much about them but a new bar is likely to have some openings.

My Bro-in-law played at Arnold's for years. Do they still have live music almost every nite?
