It's Really Time to Move On

Bengals founder the late Paul E. Brown had many sayings and wise words. One of my favorite was: “When you lose, say little. When you win, say even less.”
I was thinking about that during one of the more bitter weeks in Xavier athletic history which saw the Musketeers go from a significant and decisive victory over University of Cincinnati, to a humiliating defeat at the hands of Oral Roberts, albeit it without Tu Holloway, Mark Lyons and Dez Wells, three starters.
I say significant victory over UC because that typically obnoxious crew with coach to match won't even admit they lost the game by 23 points. But they never admit to losing a Crosstown Shootout. Never. It's always somebody else's fault. Xavier is never the better team.
I can say that because I've been watching and even closely associated with the XU-UC games for more than 50 years and and a fan of Xavier athletics for more than 60. (more here (http://www.xavierhoops.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20692))
