I hate the jinx the guy, but he's come out of the chute absolutely on fire in Kansas City this week. -4 through 5 holes. On pace for -56 for the tournament. :)

Make that -5 through 6. I agree that I don't want to jinx him, but here's to Jay keeping this momentum for four days...

That Killeen guy who is leading at -8 is looking for his third win on Tour in about a month. He's been on fire and would get a battlefield promotion to the PGA Tour with another win.

Nice pun "Go": JJ hits 12 greens & had 16 putts on those 12; that's 4 times he 2 putts and 8 times he cans it for birdie.

Jason seems to understand now how low he needs to shoot just to be in the hunt

A smooth 6 under 65 and 2 shots back.

I'll be in KC this weekend for the Sox/Royals game Saturday night. If I didn't have the wife and kids in tow, I'd be heading over to the course Sunday to see Jason play. Don't think the family is particularly interested, though.

That bum Kokrak has fallen from a tie for 7th to a tie for 35th already today, and he's only one stroke above the cut line.

Granted, he hasn't teed off yet.....

66 today to back up the 65 yesterday. Three shots back in a tie for fourth heading towards the weekend. He's got a real shot at winning this weekend if he shoots two more rounds similar to his first two.

This is getting exciting. Dude is figuring it out, going low then backing it up. Didn't panic when he got off to a slow start then had a sweet back nine. He is certainly not overwhelmed by the surroundings any more.

Really played "bomb & gouge" so far; He is #1 in driving distance buy T75 in GIR and Top 10 in putting stats. Will need to hit it a bit straighter to hang tough on the weekend.

3 under , 68 today and tied for 7th 6 shots back.

20 under leads after three rounds! Either these guys are really good, or these courses on the Nationwide Tour are pich and putters.

I believe it is the former- yet guys like Nitties ( who is leading at 20 under) and Every made the main tour once and couldn't stay. It's tough out there.

Dude has been tearing it slap up for the last month and has only won $53,000. On the regular tour with those finishes, he'd have won about $700K. Tough in the minors.

Hope the confidence stays up and he keeps in the red numbers. Right now he's $54,000 out of 25th place on the Nationwide money list that would give him a 2012 PGA Tour card.
