Hi guys. The hubby and I are taking a roadtrip this fall and we're staying in Macon, Georgia overnight. I need some recommendations for hotels that are nice, but not super swanky since we're just staying there for a night. It also needs to be a hotel with a pool to keep Little LadyMuskie happy after that 9 hour drive. I thought this board would be a good place to ask since I know there are a lot of travelers on here. Stay away from Mercer Law School and be careful down there. A dismembered body was found outside the apartment of a missing law student.

Homewood Suites on 75 just south of the split with the by-pass. We stayed there a couple years ago and it was a pretty new place. Don't forget that the by-pass is the way to go around Macon.
