You had to wonder from the outset what with Stewart and the kid gloves for his old buddy. It begs a question: are we allowed to ask Stewart when he knew his friend was lying.
of course, this is when Stewart lapses into "I'm just an entertainer" mode. I for one am tired of the media letting this guy get away with this shell game.

Funny how he does this when it is convenient. He had no trouble ripping the journalism of CNN. And he of course took his shots at He's no Saint Breitbart. Of course Breitbart was right. Much like the much crucified Drudge was right about Monica's spoogy dress.

Prediction: DC Moron will use this as opp to reference the Tea Pot Dome scandal. Because, you know, he once read a book.

Wiener: Well, he's a disciple of Schumer so the name fits.

I'd say the kid gloves came off tonight in this cold open.

I am behind on my Daily Show watching right now, but I am looking forward to (hopefully) seeing Stewart lay into Wiener. The guy's name is Anthony Wiener, and he sent pictures of his junk to women. It doesn't get any better than that if you are a comedian. I don't feel that he has an obligation to make fun of Wiener out of any sense of political fairness, I think he has an obligation to make fun of him because the whole situation is hilarious.

Regarding Stewart's political views, I don't really care too much about Stewart being equitable to both sides. I don't think it is any secret to anybody that he leans pretty far to the left.

I don't see Stewart any difference than Letterman or Leno. His show is on "COMEDY CENTRAL" for god's sake. Yes, they do go beyond the the imaginary boundaries to generate laughs. They do it for ratings and shock value. It apparently works so they aren't going to stop. When you run for public office nowadays or really forever, it comes with the territory. Vote with your remote and don't watch it.

I enjoy Jonathan Stuart Leibowitz (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jon_Stewart). He is one funny man.

As Fred says he does like to have it both ways, mixing serious commentary with humor. At times he takes himself way too seriously in advancing the cause. If he ever gets called out on something though he hides behind his comedian status. It is a difficult line to walk and I doubt many could get away with it but he is a master. He is actually very influential politically to the younger generation.

Liberal or not I tend to like it when anyone holds our Politico's feet to the fire.

I love the way that Breitbart took the podium at Wiener's press conference. That guy is a one man force of nature. Can't believe the chutzpah it took to show up the guy's press conference and steal his podium before he gets there. That is entertainment.
