Has anyone gone to see the movie yet? I have the next three days off from work, I gave mytwo weeks for a new job and they offered me a paid early leave. Just curious if it would be a good use of my time.

My wife and I enjoyed it...mostly because we are fans of the book and think given current political/economic conditions and trends, it is very relevent.

Cinematically, it isn't the greatest movie production-wise based on the quick production timeline and low budget. But definitely worth the hour and a half. If you agree with a majority of Ayn Rand's views, as my wife and I do...it will fire you up. If you strongly disagree, it will fire you up...so on that front, I say go!

It's actually 1:45. And this is officially Part 1 of 3....through the first 10 chapters or so...

How funny. That was my exact reaction when I first read that.

I was thinking they sped everything up so the dialogue in the movie sounded like Alvin and the Chipmunks so they could get through it all.

I am a card carrying Libertarian, so I am sure it will fire me up. I am planning to check it out today

OK, that makes a lot more sense!

Saw it last friday and enjoyed Part I of III. Didn't notice the production issues so not a problem for me (my wife says I couldn't find a clean shirt in a closet full of them). Am ready to see Parts Deux and Trois. I would recommend it.

I ran across this link today: http://blogs.indiewire.com/theplaylist/archives/2011/04/27/great_job_movie_critics_atlas_shrugged_producer_sc rapping_plans_for_pt._2_3/

An ironic twist relished by critics of Atlas Shrugged, the "free market" has declared it unworthy of continuation. Sounds like the wrong producer got the project. Then again, I know nothing about the book 2nd to the bible.
