So, for your dummies who decided to get a PS3 instead of being cool and getting an Xbox, the network was hacked. Big time.
Looks like the hacker got credit card information too.

I'm a PS3 guy and have been going through Black Ops withdrawals :) Knowing that personal information has been comprised does not make me happy at all! Yeah, I'm pissed, but what can I do?
I'll still never get a Crapbox.

PSN blows. (PS3 is an awesome machine though.)

I miss my old PS3; blasted YLOD! Oh well, I have my shiny new XBOX 360 Slim (which I love) and my Wii (which is a dust collector). I've been playing Fallout New Vegas on 360 at an unhealthy clip lately.
There is no comparison between PSN and XBL. You don't always get what you pay for but in this case you do. PSN online play is spotty at best, XBL is smooth as silk.

I think Pork has it right. The Playstation might be a great platform, but this hack points to its major problem, support and the actual network for it. Meanwhile, I am going to fire up my XBox and make sure as much of my personal info is wiped off of it, just in case.
I HATE dayton.

Thor and Pork definitely have it right. While waiting for ps3 I finally broke down and bought an xbox and it turned out to be the best decision of my life. Yes you have to pay for XBL, but there's a reason, it's awesome. Not only is xbox a better gaming console but XBL gives you many more features out of game and in game.
That said I still do love my ps3. The graphics are better, albeit slightly, and the fact the console is a computer for all tenses and purposes makes its overall use amazing, not to mention it is a blu ray player. PSN ruins the system for gamers though, being unrealiable and considerably slower. I wouldn't be surprised to see PSN down for a while and Sony come back with a brand new online system that will probably cost money down the road.... not immediately because I believe people would flock to xbox.
I do have a Wii also, but that is used strictly for netflix, horrible system IMHO
