Yesterday George Clooney was spotted in town sporting a new Xavier hat, giving the Muskies to clear edge over UC in the all-important celebrity fan index. The Muskies still trail UK by about 22 laps. The Wildcats' biggest celeb supporter is Ashley Judd.
But still, having George Clooney on your side is a pretty good pull. And if like Nick Lachey, George starts lugging his girlfriend to XU games, then the already impressive Cintas Center will be an even more aesthetically appealing place.

Which brings us to the Reds. And Charlie Sheen. I was watching this video of Charlie telling the UCLA baseball team to stay off crack. In it, Charlie is rocking a Reds hat.

Charlie has been a Reds fan for a while, mainly because his dad grew up in Dayton. Years after the fact, stories about his partying with members of the 1990 Reds at his LA home came out. From Rob Dibble....
"During our championship season in 1990, Charlie Sheen threw us a couple of parties at his Malibu house. He spent over $50,000 - all of it on strippers, hookers and porn stars.
"For one party, he sent limos to pick us up from Dodger Stadium. I actually blew the save that night.
"I like having fun, but this was a freak show. I saw one of my fat, ugly teammates having sex with this beautiful porn star in a Jacuzzi."
Good guy to know, bad guy to have as your most famous fan.
So two things need to happen. 1) The Reds need to reach out to the Hollywood elite and get someone on their side. XU has set the bar pretty high with Nick Clooney's kid. ...........
