To Bob Feller. The Greatest Cleveland Indian ever to live.

Hey LeBron, This is what it's like to be a hero. Have fun dying a nobody for spending your life in Cuba, America. Bob Feller is more of a fucking man than you even know what is. Probably because you grew up with no father to tell you who Bob Feller is.

Bob Feller. A man. A Clevelander. My hero.

I hope they build a bigger statue. Bob Feller won 266 games. He also spent four seasons of his prime in the military.

More than a baseball player, he was a true hero, a war vet.

Such men are uncommon in these sad times.

Long live Bob Feller

I met Bob Feller at game 4 of the 1995 World Series. I had just turned 13. He threw out the first pitch that game. Shortly after throwing out the pitch, my dad and I happened to walk bye him standing outside a gate surrounded by a forcefield of security. My dad grabbed me by the arm and lead me over to the edge of security (about 5-7 feet away from Bob). Getting his attention, he said, "Mr Feller... 47 years ago, my dad took me to game 4 of the 1948 World Series. We met you after the game and you signed a baseball for me. I still have it all these years later and I was wondering if you could do the same for my son..."

Bob Feller walked over to us, gave us each a handshake, chatted with us briefly and signed me an autograph. Unlike game 4 of the 1948 World Series, the Tribe lost the game and the Series.

Bob Feller was the Nolan Ryan of his day... If Nolan Ryan quit baseball in the prime of his career to enlist in the Navy and fight for the Allied Forces in the Pacific.
