Tyrus Thomas is going to the Bobcats, partially because he's 6'10" and all their other bigs are hurt. But he mostly plays the 4, so longer term it's going to mean less playing time for Derrick Brown. He's only been getting about 11 minutes on average.

Decent move for the Bobcats. Thomas wasn't stellar in Chicago, but he could do much better under Larry Brown.

The pros are about competing. I'd assume DBrown would be motivated by this, instead of sulking about it....that is, if he wants a future in the NBA.

Unless you're a superstar, you could lose your job tomorrow...so you better bring it everyday, whether you're the first guy off the bench, or the last.

You can see what a swap meet the NBA becomes at times. A lot of great players get swallowed up, I think Brown can overcome.
