Found this on the UD Pride board. It's a site where colleges are looking for home and home games as well as tournament teams.

Anybody else notice that Arizona's contact person is named Jamaal Walker? Just a coincidence, or has Jamaal left Xavier Nation also?

Doesn't look like X uses that site much.

The name on the site is spelled Jamall Walker. So probably not him?

This is kind of like applying gor a job over the Internet. I would guess that even those this spreadsheet exists, not alot of teams get people calling with interest.

Like finding a job, I would imagine scheduling has more to do with networking and relationships that it does with posting a game (job) to be filled.

At the end of the day, I guess it can't hurt, but most likely not the main way teams fill their schedules.

Looks like Southern Cal, South Carolina, Arkansas, or Oklahoma State all have opportunities for H/H or N/N.

Schedule Arkansas or South Carolina. X owns the SEC.

I want to open up Louisville's arena!

NEED A HIGH MAJOR TO OPEN NEW ARENA. WILL DO HOME & HOME BUT CAN ONLY RETURN IN 2012-13. COULD DO A NEUTRAL SITE IN 2011-12. TV WOULD BE INTERESTED. CALL OR EMAIL ERIC SCOTT eric.scott@louisville.edu 502-852

Bring on Ole Miss:

Ole Miss is in need of several games. Home and Home as well as Guarantee Games. Available dates include November 20th and 24th, December 1st and 15th.

Arkansas:

Need to start a H/H at Home. Dates available are December 7th, 18th, and January 1st.

Also Minnesota, Marquette, Missouri and more. I will take two please!

I would love a home and home with the Ville. I hope nobody wants to open up their arena because that would be the bomb. Wouldn't like to have to scalp that though.

I think it's interesting that some teams (like Siena and Northeastern) talk about the players they are graduating. In essence, go ahead and schedule us, you're going to kick our asses.

Found this on the interweb somewhere...

Basically a networking site for D-1 basketball scheduling. Quite interesting to say the least.

yeah, very cool.

Lots of schools specify what type of RPI ranking opponent they want.

RPI is king.

Saw that we are looking to start a high major series on the road next year. Also noticed this about Dayton:

DAYTON - CINCINNATI MULTI TEAM EVENT November 12-26, 2010. Play at Dayton, at Cincinnati (on same trip), play at Mount Saint Mary's and home against Murray State. 4 games total. Good guarantee.

Contact: Maury Hanks 702.860.9719 or mhanks@flash.net

Also saw another post where they are looking to schedule A game with A BCS school. Silly Dayton...

And there is also this:

The University of Cincinnati along with the University of Dayton is hosting a multi-team exempt event for the 2010-11 season. We have one spot remaining to complete the field. Every team will play four games from November 13th to 27th. You will play road games at both host schools (Cincinnati and Dayton). You will also receive a home game versus Mount St. Mary’s and a road game versus Arkansas Little Rock. A very competitive guarantee plus tournament gifts are included.

I like the idea of Oklahoma State or Louisville. Both of those would be decent for Xavier's SOS.

I am surprised there isn't better screening process to be able to post on that site.

Just look at the original post to the thread. This link was found on UD Pride. This was posted from Swampy's mom's basement.

Actually, I think the blame for this one more likely lies with a Bearkitty fan. Just because I was curious, I googled the email address and it led me to this thread (http://www.miamihawktalk.com/discussion/viewtopic.php?p=661455&sid=9948692ac5d55bb4dfd812c0e954e428), which mentions finding the link on Lance's blog (http://www.700wlw.com/pages/lancesBlog.html?an=Wednesday-March-172).

Of course, none of us (rightfully) would have discovered the source of this because what X fan, in their right mind, reads Lance's blog? I don't live in the area, and even I know he sucks.

Check out the scheduling site that everyone's been talking about. It looks like someone hacked it, using Xavier's name. It's actually pretty damn funny.
