DirecTV out?

Anyone else's DirecTV out? I'm in NKY and woke up to my DirecTV not being able to get a signal. I'm wondering if it's a problem in the area, or if I'm going to have to go clean snow/ice of my dish so I can watch the Butler game.

I'm glad I didn't have to do the same, but I would have. Missing the Xavier game is not an option!

That is the ONLY problem with DirecTV. Snow on the dish can be a real problem, particularly if the dish is on the roof...

I got a tip from another message board to use soapy, warm water on a dish with ice/snow on it. With the soap mixed in, the water you spray up there won't re-freeze. I've also heard that windshield wiper fluid works well to clear ice and snow.

I've only had to de-ice my dish once, last year, and to do it I used the warm, soapy water trick. Since the dish was on my roof, I filled an old Super Soaker I had in the house and squirted it up there. Took about 10 minutes and a refill, but it was kinda fun and worked.
