I'm sure he'll make it through just fine. I doubt he's really familiar with the word "consequences." The father is already blaming Verizon for the problem and worried about his son's state of mind after causing the trouble. And why would you add $50 a month in utility charges to your monthly bills when you are recently unemployed? Sounds like the father is a stranger to consequences as well.
